MSRBL-Images

The MSRBL-Images.hdb file is an additional signature (MD5 sigs) file for ClamAV which contains signatures created from images contained within spam emails (from ratings on SPAMorNOT).

On a Gentoo system the file would normaly be located in the /var/lib/clamav/ directory. On different distributions and systems this directory might be located in a different locations such as /var/clamav/.

Please note: This file is distributed without charge and without any warranty of any kind. This includes the loss or disruption of email systems etc.

The file is normally updated many times per day, we advise you to download this file atleast once per day to ensure you have the latest signatures on your system.

We are currently distributing the following versions of our database:

rsync://rsync.mirror.msrbl.com/msrbl/MSRBL-Images-FULL-SoN.hdb (Full database ~300k entries)
rsync://rsync.mirror.msrbl.com/msrbl/MSRBL-Images-3M-R-SoN.hdb (Recent + hits in the past 3 months)
rsync://rsync.mirror.msrbl.com/msrbl/MSRBL-Images-1M-R-SoN.hdb (Recent + hits in the past month)

Use a command similar to the following should download the files:

rsync rsync://rsync.mirror.msrbl.com/msrbl/MSRBL-Images.hdb /path/MSRBL-Images.hdb

Scripts for Linux are available from the SaneSecurity site which also include support for MSRBL signatures.
